A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a Registered Nurse approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia to work at an advanced level. Nurse Practitioners have completed additional university study at Master’s degree level and are the most senior clinical nurses in our health care system. 

Stephanie is a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner. She has postgraduate studies in child health and education and a Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner).

Stephanie has over 25 years of experience in children’s healthcare, working in specialist children’s hospitals in Melbourne and Perth and London. She also works part-time in the Kimberley region as a children’s nurse practitioner.

Stephanie’s interests include child, parent and family health and well-being, eczema, weight concerns, child development, childhood trauma and disability. Stephanie especially enjoys teaching children and families how to manage their health at home.

Stephanie set up NursePrac Australia in 2016 and the clinic started in March 2017.

Julie is a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner who specialises in the care of children. She has completed research related to family-centred care and a Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner).

Julie has 18 years of experience caring for children at Perth Children’s Hospital (formally PMH), working in general and surgery wards and intensive care. Aside from working at NursePrac Australia, Julie works as a senior nurse in Cardiology at Perth Children’s Hospital, caring for children with heart problems.

Julie is passionate about the health and wellbeing of children, and their families in the community. Julie has a particular interest in eczema, child development, infant sleep and settling, healthy lifestyle choices and chronic health management.

Julie started working with NursePrac Australia in August 2018.
